Speaking of Field Hockey, first year head coach Justine Sowry has quietly built up an impressive record so far with The Flock. Louisville is 7-3 and 1-1 in BIG EAST play. The Cardinal defensive has been particulary impressive, pitching shutouts four times this season and allowing only three goals in their last six games.
Louisville has eight games remaining on the schedule...four of those conference foes in Connecticut, Rutgers, Providence and Villanova. The Cards will also face Ohio State, Drexel, Indiana and Northwestern before the BIG EAST Tournament at Syracuse in early November.

HOME GAMES REMAINING:
Oct 8: Rutgers
Oct 21: ProvidenceOct 23: Indiana
The Cards have outscored their opponents 30-13 so far this year and Hayley Turner leads the team with seven goals. Rock steady goalkeeper Erin Conrad protects the net and Lacey Jurich and Caitlin Collins have performed well this year to make sure Conrad doesn't have to defend too many shots on goal.
