Okay, guys, are you ready?The University of Louisville women's team is moving into the most modern basketball arena in the world, making the debut this Saturday at the KFC Yum! Center.
Jeff Walz is doing it right. The UofL coach has a group of seasoned veterans to go with a top five recruiting class and talented transfer talent. Eager to reverse the fortunes of last season when he was actually looking for players at times.
"This arena is going to be a showcase for Louisville women's basketball," he said last week. "We're looking forward to building the program and the fan base. All the elements are in place. We are eager to get started."
The Lady Cards face Indiana Wesleyan in an exhibition game Saturday. Tip off will be at 4:30 p.m.
