BIG EAST releases Womens' Basketball Schedule

(Probably not a place you want to send the kiddos during their formative years...unless they've developed a knack for the guitar.)


The Big East has released the 2010-11 Womens' Basketball Schedule. For Louisville, the good news is that they've got home and away against Cincinnati. The bad news is that UConn is still in the conference. The matchups below:

HOME

DePaul, Georgetown, Pittsburgh, Rutgers, St. John, Seton Hall, Cincy, West Virginia.

AWAY

UConn, Marquette, Notre Dame. Providence, South Florida, Syracuse, Villanova, Cincy.

The Cards will open the season in the KFC YUM Center hosting Tennessee. Fellow SEC member Kentucky travels to Louisville this year. No finalization yet on the out of conference opponents.

Angel McCoughtry lands in Indianapolis tonight to face Indiana in WNBA action. The Atlanta Dream are on a three game win streak and are 9-3 overall this season. Indiana has also won three in a row and sits at 7-4.

Angel is averaging 19.9 points a game. The last time the Fever and Heat matched up, Angel's head met Tamika Catchings elbow and McCoughtry received three stitches. She came back to finish the game though and scored 11 points in the 66-62 home win for the Dream.

It is "UofL" Night in Indy...plenty of good seats remain if you are up to the 90 minute drive to Conseco.
