CARDINAL COUPLE reader Jenny O'Bryan recently tied for first place in a University of Louisville women's basketball trivia contest on Facebook and will be invited to watch a UofL women's basketball practice.

Jenny is an avid UofL women's basketball fan and helps keep us up-to-date on recruiting news for the Lady Cards. WE love her basketball bio (below)

"My love for women's basketball was born out of a random dorm room assignment in the Fall of 1988 at Bellermine. I was assigned a roommate from Lexington-ish area who was a basketball player. I very quickly fell in love with the game. While the media attention today is still lacking, it is a darn site better than it was 20+ years ago for a Division II school. I lived with a player and sometimes could not find out what happened on away games until she returned! My love for the game as been described as "Jenny's interest level puts the 'fan' in fanatic".

We look forward to hearing about Jenny's "Day with the Cards" and her high intensity reports about all things Lady Cardinal WBB. WE here at CARDINAL COUPLE aren't the greatest at recruiting news and will count on Jenny's pursuit of this subject in the future to keep, you...our readers...informed.

(Also, a tip of the hat to CARDINAL COUPLE'S DAVID WATSON'S youngest daughter Chloe, who rolled a 273 in her summer bowling league Tuesday night. After seven straight strikes in her second game, she "nailed dead-on" the head pin in the 8th frame and got the dreaded "big four split". She finished with three strikes in her five final throws, though...and it is her highest game ever. She carries a 177 average and bowls 3-4 nights a week.)

Sancho celebrates after her buzzer-beater mystifies Washington.
A basket by Sancho Lyttle at the buzzer gave the Atlanta Dream a rare road win last night 72-70 over the Washington Mystics. Down by six with a less than a minute to go, the Dream captialized on a couple of Mystic turnovers to get back in it and win it.

Angel with 19 (10-11 from the charity stripe).

One game at a time, ladies....
